This Tuesday, we're checking out one of the most sampled bands in history and the popular 21st century song that they've inspired.Kraftwerk is widely regarded as the most impactful electronic music group, and essentially pioneered and popularized the genre. Commonly referred to as the most sampled band, their melodies have been recycled by the likes of Jay-Z, LCD Soundsystem, Depeche Mode, Devo, New Order, Pink Floyd, and many more. Coldplay has even participated, and actually approached Kraftwerk requesting permission to use melodies found in their song “Computer Love” off of the 1981 album Computer World. The result was “Talk”, found on Coldplay’s 2005 album X&Y. Listen to both below.
