Past and Present is Tavik’s way of paying homage to the musicians that may have been forgotten, but continue to inspire us today. In each installment we take music from earlier generations and compare it to the songs they influence today.
While Apples In Stereo never reached commercial success, they played a key role in the 90′s psych/experimental scene. Heavy influence can be heard from 60′s psych albums such as Magical Mystery Tour and Pet Sounds, taking a similar approach in terms of melody and instrumentation.
