Once we were all somewhat clean, we made our way to the Shelborne Hotel on Collins for the Nervous Records party featuring a gang of amazing talent including Amine Edge, Huxley, Cassian, Danny Daze and many more. The vibes were perfect for our first pool party of the week, and while the $10 beers and $20 cheeseburgers weren’t as perfect, we found ourselves coming back a couple times after stepping over to the Raleigh next door for the massive OWSLA x Fool’s Gold x Bromance x Dim Mak x WeDidIt x “I’m sure I’m missing someone” pool party. I think we’d all agree that Huxley put down the set of the afternoon…
We calmed it down somewhat to gear up for a very large night ahead. While Trevor headed over to HARD downtown and Troy made his way to Story for the Dim Mak takeover, Jonah and Matt decided to hit up The Modern Love Affair at Wall at The W Hotel for Pete Tong, Damian Lazarus, Art Department, and Luca C. The music was unbelievable. Pete undoubtedly knows how to curate a set and a lineup. Before long, the place was packed in like a can of sardines, and while the tunes were dead on, we literally couldn’t move anywhere, so we decided to take our party efforts on to the next event which happened to be Solomun at a neon party upstairs at Nikki Beach.
After befriending Angus and Connie of Sneaky Sound System and Jimmy of Flight Facilities, we hit the raved out club around 3-330AM, where Solomun was grooving out to a revelrous group of people.
It was approaching 5AM, and we knew we had a big day ahead, so we cabbed it back to the RV to get a few hours of solid sleep.
